My nonfiction flows from my academic specialty. In my doctoral dissertation, I explored rewritings of classical mythology in Spanish drama, a subject that still inspires my work as a translator and creative writer. In a more contemporary vein, I founded the blog New Yorker Story Critiques (now dormant) and served as its primary contributor.
